Radium Fluid Lock PCV Catch Can Kit - Ford Focus ST / RS EcoBoost (LW / LZ)
Suits:
- 2011-2014 Ford Focus ST — LW (EcoBoost)
- 2015-2018 Ford Focus ST — LZ (EcoBoost)
- 2016-2017 Ford Focus RS — LZ (2.3L EcoBoost)
⚠️ Focus ST only: Radium 20-0356 Sound Symposer Delete Kit (or equivalent) must be installed before fitting this catch can.
The Radium Engineering Fluid Lock PCV Catch Can Kit addresses the PCV side of the crankcase ventilation system on the Ford Focus ST and RS. The PCV and CCV catch cans function completely independently of each other and are sold individually or together — see also the CCV kit (20-0316-FL for Focus RS / 20-0357-FL for Focus ST) and dual kit (20-0328-FL for Focus RS).
This is a closed loop system — it does not vent to atmosphere (VTA), making it emissions compliant and track legal. The catch can features large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, 2-step oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick. Mounts on the front LH core support near the radiator using factory holes with no cutting, drilling, or permanent modifications required.
PCV Catch Can - How It Works
Runs inline with the PCV valve, retaining factory function. During idle, steady-state cruising, and deceleration, metered vacuum would normally draw crankcase vapour, unspent fuel, and oil sludge into the intake manifold. The Radium catch can intercepts this before it reaches the engine. Because Radium catch cans are pressure sealed, a direct intake manifold connection is permitted on this boosted application.
Benefits
- Raises effective octane and improves engine performance from cleaner inlet air
- Prevents oil buildup in the intake, intercooler, throttle body, and intake manifold
- Lowers hydrocarbon emissions
- Excessive oil collection can indicate a damaged engine — dipstick allows easy monitoring
- Capacity: 6 fl oz
Kit Includes
- Anodised oil catch can with integrated condenser and dipstick
- Anodised laser-cut Focus specific mounting bracket
- Anodised aluminium AN adapter fittings and hose ends
- PCV hose for custom applications
- Stainless steel mounting hardware
