HKS Oil Cooler Kit for the Nissan 370Z (Z34)
If you're taking your Z34 for a spin on the circuit, the HKS Oil Cooler Kit is a must-have. When pushing your car to the limit, engine oil temperatures tend to rise, triggering the fail-safe system. Here's why this kit is essential:
Key Features:
- It prevents the fail-safe system from activating when the engine oil temperature exceeds 135 °C (130 °C). This means no more throttle and RPM limitations during spirited driving.
- Equipped with a 15-row core (measuring W200 X H220 X T48), the cooler is strategically positioned in front of the radiator.
- Installation requires some adjustments to the resin protector and alternator bracket, but it's a straightforward process that can be completed in approximately 3 hours.
At the Fuji Speedway, our stock Z34 couldn't even complete a single lap due to the fail-safe system kicking in. However, with the HKS Oil Cooler Kit installed, we managed an impressive 6 laps without any issues.
Remarks
- Need resin protector and alternator bracket modification.
- Pop up engine hood is adopted so when you want to take off the bumper, take out the minus terminal of the battery and wait 3 minutes before start working.
- Washer tank relocation is not required.
- When the twin core kit is installed, you can have effective cooling performance with the bumper protection modification but we can't guarantee the normal actuation of pop up engine hood.
