Description
HKS utilizes a low-density metal catalyst, in stark contrast to the factory's high-density ceramic catalyst. This innovative approach significantly reduces exhaust resistance while remaining compliant with Japan's 2018 emission control standards through meticulous blending of metals within the low-density cells. Moreover, HKS has garnered certification from a reputable third-party organization for its emission control adherence.
The 4-2-1 equal-length design layout is a result of thorough analysis, particularly focusing on the four distinct sections. To enhance this layout's performance, the flange on the cylinder head side has been redesigned to accommodate the stepped section's structure during pipe insertion.
When using the HKS Hi-Power SPEC-L2 (32016-AF101) in conjunction with this product, improvements in output are observed across the entire RPM range. The most noticeable difference occurs in the mid-range, effectively eliminating torque drop around 4,000 RPM. Furthermore, when paired with the GT manifold and Hi-Power SPEC-L2, this product delivers an impressive increase of up to 10.2 kW (13.9 PS) and 22.5 Nm (2.3 kgf ·m) of torque at 4,300 RPM compared to the factory vehicle configuration.
