Description
The HKS GT-SPEC equal-length headers are a performance exhaust manifold for the Toyota GR86 (ZN8) and Subaru BRZ (ZD8) with FA24 engine. HKS replaced the factory high-density ceramic catalyst with a low-density metal catalyst that significantly reduces exhaust resistance while remaining compliant with Japan's 2018 emission control standards, with third-party certification for that compliance. The 4-2-1 equal-length design was developed through detailed analysis of the four pipe sections, and the cylinder-head-side flange was redesigned to accommodate the stepped pipe insertion. When used with HKS Hi-Power Spec L2 exhaust (32016-AF101), gains of up to 10.2kW and 22.5Nm at 4,300 RPM over stock are reported, with the most notable benefit being the elimination of the torque dip around 4,000 RPM.
