Description
The Garrett PowerMax 953292-5001S is a direct-fit upgrade for the factory Garrett MGT2259S turbocharger on Subaru's 2.0L FA20 DIT engine. It bolts on using the original mounting points and connections, and its larger MGT2260 compressor flows 18% more air than the OEM unit, supporting up to 480 BHP (353 kW) with the right supporting mods and tune.
Features
- Direct-fit, bolt-on replacement for the OEM MGT2259S / MGT2259LS turbo. No fabrication required.
- Calibrated wastegate actuator supplied for straightforward installation.
- +18% compressor flow over the factory turbo: 49mm inducer / 60mm exducer compressor wheel.
- Engineered to meet or exceed OEM standards for durability and long-term reliability.
- Fully machined speed sensor port for turbo speed monitoring during tuning. Compatible with the Garrett G-Smart Bluetooth module (923586-0002) or speed sensor kits 781328-0001 (street, with gauge) and 781328-0002 (pro, no gauge), sold separately.

Notes
- Only fits vehicles fitted with the OEM Garrett MGT2259S / MGT2259LS turbo and FA20F / FA20E direct-injection turbo engine. Does not fit the naturally aspirated FA20D in the BRZ, FR-S or Toyota 86, and does not fit the WRX STI (EJ25).
- An ECU tune is required to make use of the extra airflow. Quoted power is the turbo's flow capability from Garrett's lab testing; actual results depend on supporting modifications and calibration.
- Garrett rates maximum turbo speed at 185,000 RPM. Running above this is at the owner's risk.
