MINI Cooper R50
The R50 is the first of the modern MINIs, and it shares its platform and much of its parts catalog with the supercharged Cooper S R53. Everything on this page is tagged to the 2001-2006 R50.
Suspension and brakes carry the page. AST coilovers and springs and Ohlins Road and Track lead the chassis, with Bilstein dampers and an H&R sway bar alongside. Braking is the deepest section, with a full EBC range of slotted and drilled rotors and Bluestuff to Greenstuff pads, plus Hawk and Brembo OE. For the supercharged Cooper S there are Wiseco forged pistons, Cometic head gaskets, DeatschWerks injectors, and an aFe intake, with a Borla cat-back for the exhaust and an aFe sprint booster for throttle response.
