Radium Fluid Lock PCV Catch Can Kit - Honda Civic Type-R FK8 / FL5

The Radium Engineering Fluid Lock PCV Catch Can Kit is engineered specifically for the Honda Civic Type-R FK8 and FL5. The PCV and CCV side catch cans function completely independently of each other and are sold individually or together — allowing you to address one or both sides of the crankcase ventilation system.
This is a closed loop system — it does not vent to atmosphere (VTA), making it emissions compliant and track legal. Each catch can features large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, 2-step oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick for easy fluid inspection. Kits mount using factory holes with no cutting, drilling, or permanent modifications required.
Civic Type-R Catch Can System Overview
Radium Engineering offers two complementary catch can kits for the FK8/FL5, designed to work independently or together for maximum crankcase protection:
- 20-0424-FL — PCV Catch Can Kit (this kit): Addresses the PCV valve side of the crankcase. Effective during idle, light cruising, and deceleration when the PCV valve is open and metered vacuum draws crankcase vapour toward the intake manifold.
- CCV Catch Can Kit — sold separately: Addresses the crankcase vent side. Effective under boost when the PCV valve closes and blow-by exits via the head breathers toward the turbo inlet.
For maximum engine protection, Radium recommends running both kits together.
Notes:
- No extra inline check valve required — Radium catch cans are pressure sealed, permitting a direct intake manifold connection
- Dipstick allows easy inspection of accumulated fluid without removal
