Radium Engineering Fluid Lock PCV Catch Can Kit - Subaru BRZ/Toyota GR86
The Radium Engineering Fluid Lock PCV Catch Can Kit for the 2022+ Subaru BRZ (ZD8) and Toyota GR86 (ZN8) is a precision-engineered crankcase ventilation solution designed to prevent oil vapors and contaminants from entering the intake system. This complete bolt-on kit features Radium's innovative Fluid Lock technology, 2-step oil separation baffling, and mounts on the right-hand side of the engine bay inline with the factory PCV valve for optimal protection during aggressive driving.
Part Number
- 20-0911-FL - Fluid Lock PCV Catch Can Kit, Subaru BRZ ZD8/Toyota GR86 22+
Key Features
- Fluid Lock Technology: Innovative internal baffle system prevents oil spillage during spirited driving
- PCV Inline Installation: Runs inline with factory 5/8" PCV valve for optimal protection
- 2-Step Oil Separation: Advanced baffling captures oil vapors and contaminants effectively
- Closed Loop System: Emissions and track legal - does not vent to atmosphere
- Complete Bolt-On Kit: Uses factory mounting points - no cutting or drilling required
- Large 10AN ORB Ports: High-flow ports for optimal crankcase ventilation
- 4AN ORB Drain Port: Convenient drain valve for easy oil removal
- O-Ring Sealed Dipstick: Check fluid level without disassembly
Fluid Lock Technology
Radium's Fluid Lock system features an internal baffle design that prevents collected oil from sloshing out of the catch can during hard cornering, acceleration, and braking. This ensures captured contaminants stay in the can rather than being drawn back into the intake system, providing superior protection compared to traditional catch cans.
How It Works
The PCV catch can runs inline with the factory PCV valve. When intake manifold pressure is at or above atmospheric pressure, the PCV check valve closes and this hose experiences no flow. During idle, steady-state cruising, and deceleration, the PCV hose experiences metered vacuum, which would normally draw unwanted crankcase vapor, unspent fuel, and oil sludge into the intake manifold. The catch can intercepts these contaminants before they can enter the intake system.
