Description
The Radium Engineering 20-0913-FL Dual Fluid Lock Catch Can Kit is a complete CCV and PCV oil catch can solution for the 2022+ Subaru BRZ (ZD8) and Toyota GR86 (ZN8). Designed to intercept oil-saturated crankcase blow-by before it re-enters the intake stream, this dual kit protects the FA24 engine from performance-robbing oil contamination — essential on any performance-driven or forced induction BRZ or GR86.
The two catch can kits are completely independent of each other and are sold individually or together as this dual kit. Both are closed-loop designs — they do not vent to atmosphere (VTA), making them emissions compliant and track legal. Clean, filtered air is routed back through the engine to promote negative crankcase pressure for optimal performance, while preventing oil vapours from entering the cabin.
Note: Because the Radium catch cans are pressure sealed, they are suitable for boosted applications and can be connected to the intake manifold.
20-0911-FL — PCV Catch Can Kit (RH Side)
The PCV kit mounts on the right-hand side of the engine bay and runs inline with the 5/8" PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve. The PCV check valve closes when intake manifold pressure is near or above atmospheric (i.e. under boost), so this circuit experiences no flow under high load. Under idle, steady-state cruise, and deceleration, the PCV hose experiences metered vacuum — conditions that would normally draw crankcase vapour, unspent fuel, and oil sludge directly into the intake manifold after a high-load run.
20-0902-FL — CCV Catch Can Kit (LH Side)
The CCV kit mounts on the left-hand side of the engine bay and runs inline with the 1/2" breather port. At low loads this circuit sees atmospheric pressure, but under high load (WOT) it experiences vacuum — drawing crankcase vapours, unspent fuel, and oil sludge into the air filter intake pipe. On turbocharged or supercharged applications, oil accumulation in the intercooler is a direct result of an unaddressed CCV circuit. Oil coating the intercooler core lowers thermal efficiency and degrades performance.
