Description
Overview:
Motul DOT 5.1 is a 100 % synthetic, polyglycol-based brake and clutch fluid engineered for hydraulic systems requiring DOT 3, DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 specifications. It features a high dry boiling point (~269-272 °C) and a wet boiling point (~185-187 °C) after absorbing moisture, making it well suited for performance and modern braking systems. Its cold-temperature viscosity (820 mm²/s at −40 °C) is lower than standard DOT 4 fluids, aiding ABS/ESP system responsiveness.
Who it's for:
This fluid is ideal for vehicle owners or workshops servicing modern cars with ABS, ESP or ASR braking systems — especially those under higher stress (performance or track use) where the superior boiling characteristics and low-temp fluidity are beneficial. It’s fully compatible with systems specifying DOT 3 or DOT 4, but is particularly suited where higher performance is desired or OEM specifies DOT 5.1.

You have 14 days from delivery to request a return on unused parts in their original packaging. Refunds incur a 15% restocking fee (20% for special orders), or choose store credit and the full purchase value is applied to your account.
