Description
The HKS Oil Cooler Kit for the GR86 and BRZ (ZN8/ZD8) is a bolt-on cooling system that addresses the known oil temperature problem on these platforms. During track laps - including on the FSW short course - oil temperatures exceed 130 degrees C, limiting consecutive lap times. This kit keeps oil temperatures in a safe range and is compatible with both naturally aspirated and boosted configurations including the HKS GT2 Supercharger and Bolt-On Turbo Kits.
Features
- 12-row oil cooler core mounted inside the front bumper in front of the left wheel, preserving the function of the stock bumper louvers.
- Machined aluminium oil take-out attachment with integrated thermostat prevents overcooling and reduces attachment height by 22 mm versus a standard adapter, keeping the filter below the AC pipe.
- Adjustable duct flap at the end of the air duct allows the cooler opening to be set to suit different bumper apertures and supercharger installations.
- Press-formed inner fender louvers ventilate hot air exiting the core and protect it from stone damage.
- Lightweight nylon mesh hoses with black/titanium silver fittings.
- Includes a replacement aluminium washer tank positioned next to the battery for easy refilling.
- Defi gauges and oil temperature/pressure sensors can be mounted on the thermostat adapter.

Notes
- Stock washer tank must be replaced with the aluminium tank supplied in the kit.
- Compatible with HKS GT2 Supercharger and Bolt-On Turbo Kits when used with a front-mounted intercooler.
- JDM product: any HKS certification applies to the Japanese market. Check your state's regulations before road use in Australia.
