Description
The HKS R Type intercooler kit is a direct replacement front-mount intercooler for the Honda Civic Type R FK8, designed to eliminate heat soak under sustained boost. The K20C engine regularly pushes intake air temperatures close to 90 degrees C with the stock core; HKS resolved this by integrating the inlet-side tank and piping for a smoother airflow path and fitting a larger-capacity core that delivers approximately twice the stock cooling capacity.
