Description
The HKS catless 3-inch downpipe is a front pipe and extension pipe set for the Honda Civic Type R FK8 (K20C engine) that removes the factory catalytic converter entirely. The K20C was designed as a road car and includes a catalyzer that restricts exhaust output; deleting it produces more linear boost, improved throttle response, and reduced secondary exhaust back-pressure from the turbine. HKS designed this as part of a broader performance build alongside intake, intercooler, and ECU tuning upgrades.
